ISA withdrawal has been processed too 😀 Of course, with all the jolly vaccine news and the Biden Bounce I should probably have left it where it was 🙄 Still, at least it'll get a guaranteed 25% uplift once it's in the Lifetime ISAMortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

We could do with a DeLorean (sp) right now. In the past I tended to have had some idea what was going to happen. I even kept saying back in 2008 when everyone thought it would all be resolved in 6 months to a year that it was going to take more like 4. But this time with house prices still going up for which there is no logical reason, I just don't have a clue, unless people with any money at all are taking it out of the banks to buy property which is at least unlikely to completely disappear. I certainly think that if people have found the financial side of the virus dire, they are going to find next year an even bigger challenge.I was very interested to see gov agencies telling schools to stockpile whilst telling us there was no need to.3

Ooh, digging for victory - it really is like a new War!
In other news, I just had an email telling me I didn't get a job I applied for in August 🤣! Er, yeah, I'd worked that out! That's two in two days, yesterday's rejection was for an application of a similar vintage (although they said the role had been withdrawn altogether!) - I would have been crucified in my old job if I took that long to make my mind up about candidates!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Still waiting for a training video to be signed off which was finalised in July

Please don't apologise for exclamation marks. Personally I love them & they are so expressive. I still haven't found an emoji that can replace them properly. !! just because I can!

In other news, I have received a tax coding saying I will owe HMRC £161.40 by the end of the tax year so they've adjusted my tax code accordingly to recover it in equal instalments by then (they'd better adjust it back again in April!) I'm assuming this will be the tax on the Jobseeker's Allowance that badmemory warned me about, as it's almost exactly the £165 I've got set aside. However if they're taking it 1/5 at a time, that's only £32.28 a month so I don't think I'll really miss that each month and am tempted to just lob the £165 in the OP pot.... Think I'll sleep on it 😀!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

There should be an X on the end of that code. If it is still there in April's payslip just ring (about 8 am) & tell them to get it put right. I say 8am because that is when the lines open & are the less busy, sometimes before 8 is answered too. Not only does it get answered but it can often be answered by someone who isn't (excuse the phrase) a phone monkey & knows what they are talking about.
