Great news on the tax rebate but not so good on being exposed to Covid. Just isolate for now, I only need a test if I develop symptoms. Nothing so far, so finding the silver lining that I live alone and can save some petrol money (and BF can bring me food - although still miffed he won't take my Nectar card, as I've got loads of points to claim!)Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)
Cleared 🧚♀️🧚♀️🧚♀️!!! In 5 years, 1 month and 29 days
Total amount repaid: £72,307.03. £1.10 repaid for every £1.00 borrowed
Finally earning interest instead of paying it!!!5 -

I think it must be a man thing. It is getting a little embarrassing going into Tesco & getting the points added when the BF has done some shopping & now even my son (who is normally quite well trained) has managed to unlink his mobile from my clubcard. But this doesn't credit you with the new clubcard prices. Currently £1 off a bottle of whisky. I think it is the blank "what does it matter" look which is so irritating.

I think it's more that he wants the points for himself 🤣! Or he will forget and use his own card by accident, thereby incurring my wrath that I've had to pay the full amount. Actually, that's probably the more likely scenario - he's just making a stand now so he doesn't get into trouble later 🤣! Ah well, it will be good for the November free money totals anyway 😀Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

£700 OP made 😀😀😀!
This will reduce the balance by £679, so I've also moved £68 out of each of the 10% pots into the current OP pot as it means the balance will be lower at that point, so the 10% I can OP fee-free at that point will be lower, so I may as well OP it in the here and now (think I've worked that out right 🤔🤣)
Paying the mortgage off will be good for stopping my brain hurting I think, just putting everything into savings will be much more straightforward!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Firstly I hope it's just boring isolation.
Secondly, big yay! on the OP front and the 10% hokey cokey planning!
I'm sure BF will eventually be properly trained, either through osmosis or an MSE Voodoo doll 😆
ATB,

Thanks Grogged 😀 I think BF actually is learning, it's just a very slow process.... (only been 7 years so far 🙄) He told me recently that he's set me up a standing order to clear the balance of his 0% card by the time the rate ends - I nearly fell off my chair!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Sorry to hear that you've had to self isolate, I've got my fingers crossed for you.
Incredible overpayment! But I am sort of on your BF's side of things, I'll collect points if I remember...
How is your leg now?5 -
Leg is fine, thank you 😀 Need to start doing some exercise again really. My scales have come out in sympathy and drained the battery so I've not been able to weigh myself for a good few weeks, but I'm not sure ignorance is bliss in this regard!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)
