Just caught up with all your news! Congratulations on your new job 👏🏻 Glad you are now on the mend as well!Definitely agree with concentrating on the mortgage and then focusing on the refurb afterwards, I have a list of household jobs that need doing some more urgent than others and we tend to focus on 1 or 2 each year or whenever funds allow, definitely over borrowing money to get things done now as that is how we ended up in over 30k of debt in a previous life! More satisfying to save up for things!Aiming to be mortgage free in 3 years June 2023.

Great news on the starting work next week. Easy enough to get quotes for things (even in these strange times) so maybe pick one big job (kitchen, bathroom, windows)and one small (internal doors, redecoration, plastering, new bed/sofa) and cost them up and start gradually like that doing one job at a time and saving for it?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards.
