Thanks LeighofMar. There was definitely other stuff I could have got rid of (in addition to the DVD player), something of BF's late Mum's that he gave me to sell and I didn't because I thought it didn't have any resale value which he will have forgotten all about by now, plus a load of blankets and soft toys. Think I'll look up where I can donate the blankets, as that would be a good start.
Thanks for the thoughts greenbee, I guess I will have to pay more attention to the food side of things rather than just hope a bit of exercise will melt it away. I don't think I could do anything low carb though, as I just get so HUNGRY. I'll do a bit of research into options I think.... 2.5kg in 3 days is very impressive 😮😮😮!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

As far as low carb goes, after the first week I'm fine and actually get a lot less hungry than I do when eating carbs. So starting when busy (but with a carefully worked out meal plan and no temptations around) helps. I've got loads done in the last few daysOnce I'm back into it, then if I do need a snack, a small piece of cheese or ham, or some yogurt works fine. It's worth looking into, as you can't out-exercise a bad diet.

Sorry to hear about the job, unfortunately it's a numbers game.
I can give no advice on losing weight, I can tell you that low calorie ice cream can be delicious but you have to find the ones you like in the flavours you like. However, don't be like me and eat the whole tub in one go...5 -
Thanks all, they had over 100 applicants, so I guess one of them was just better than me. There's another one I'll be applying to today, but it looks like the other one I had earmarked has already closed - it was only listed on Thursday 😮😮😮 Thought I'd be alright to leave it until now 🙁 Note to self: Just apply straight away, regardless!
Thanks for the diet suggestions, KP you made me laugh with the ice cream 🤣 Can't actually remember the last time I ate ice cream, think it would have been my Mum's home-made stuff, so beginning of the year maybe? I never ever snack between meals, so it must be the meals themselves I need to look at. Oh well, at least I know I'll have another couple of weeks free to focus in on it now!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

I didn’t like to say, but I definitely think you should just keep applying, whether you get called for interview or not - it’s a crazy situation out there. My Dad had applications recently for an IT support technician in Luton from somewhere in the US and Qatar - bearing in mind you have to be on site to do the job and they didn’t have work permits and it’s not a particularly well paid job, it just shows how desperate and weird the world is at the moment.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days
