I know, I had to Google it to check what it was! Thought it might have been an earwig at first, then remembered I had them for a while in my old flat and thought they looked different. Nature is not my thing, I am completely ignorant of just about everything in the natural world 😐Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

No insects in the sink this morning 😀
Surveys are making me feel like a total dinosaur due to all the things I don't spend money on/subscribe to. I'm telling myself that as only frugally-inclined people do them (no-one would bother if they didn't have that mindset!), they must be used to people just saying no to everything - although I've been screened out of a couple lately for not spending more than £20 on moisturiser and not buying any designer goods in the last 6 months, so maybe I've got their target market wrong 🤔???
Free money up to £64.20, which sounds good, but daily average down to £4.01 😮 Not looking like I'm going to hit target (but of course if not I'll be rolling it over into September to make life even harder for myself 😀!)Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Hi SC, I've read your diary and am so sorry to hear that you've had such a hard time lately. But very glad that you appear to be bright and happy even with everything.
I used to do surveys when I was at uni and when I started working but it's so frustrating when it's out of your hands, you're doing brilliantly with your average daily total! You have encouraged me to try Prolific Academic, I may sign up... in the future, maybe.6 -
Ahh, thank you so much for your kind words KP x
Definitely do Prolific, I find it's the best paying and it's the only one I used to do. It's really quiet on there at the moment though, so don't be disheartened if you sign up and there isn't anything for a bit
Top Prolific tips:
1) Don't wait for them to invite you to surveys, just keep checking the site (I tend to do it during ad breaks)
2) Don't believe them when they say a survey isn't suitable for mobile or tablet - most of the time it is, so just click on through. It won't let you progress to the survey if you really can't do it, so you won't waste any time (and you still have 10 minutes to get on to the laptop and do it instead if you can be *rsed 😀)

Is there a referral system? If there is, then I can join through your referral.6

BF starts his new job today. Feel like I should have bought him a new pencil case or lunchbox or something for "back to work" - he's been off almost as long as the kids have 🤣!
In other news, today is the start of week 4 of my healthy living regime and I have not lost a single lb 🙁 I'm walking loads, hardly drinking any alcohol and not consuming any sugar, so I'm not quite sure what I'm doing wrong. I was hoping to have got a head start and some good habits in place by the time I start a new job, but it's not looking good so far. Oh well, will keep on....Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)
