Why is it that the less I actually have to get done, the less inclined I feel to do anything at all??? I left BF's at about 9.30am this morning (after a walk and healthy breakfast of poached eggs on toast 😋) and he asked what I was going to do with the rest of my day: "Er....I'm going to go to Asda?" Not quite the full and motivational agenda he was hoping for I think 🤣!
I've fallen behind on the free money stats, hardly did anything yesterday as we celebrated our freedom some more with a pub lunch (£12.50 for a small fish and chips, small veggie burger and chips, pint of coke and pint of cider after the eat out to help out discount 😀 That's my turn to pay out of the way and I took it out of the grocery budget 😀😀😀) Absolutely roasting in the beer garden though at 29 degrees 😓 A bit cooler today at 26 degrees, although I have a feeling the heat may be contributing to the lack of motivation.... It's a handy excuse anyway 🤣!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

The heat has certainly contributed to a lack of motivation here, but it's definitely been in the low thirties.... and we're both gainfully employed! Have you applied for any jobs today? (Yes, I am nagging!!
) Free money won't pay off the mortgage on its own!

Thanks MFD's, me too!
In the meantime, a better day for free money today: £5.00 in from Vypr (lots of questions about halloumi to get me over the finishing line 😋), £1.62 Qmee and £2.50 claimed in Nectar points. Running total for the month is £58.09, with a daily average of £4.14. Still short of the £4.58 target daily average, but good to see it back over £4.00 (and I have lots pending 😀)

I have ticked off an item on my to-do list!!! "Go through magazine rack" is no more 😀 Chucked/recycled/shredded loads and now it holds only what it is meant to hold. One of the things was a notebook from my early days in the last job (not been there the whole time, retrieved from my laptop bag as I was in the process of leaving and retained in case there was anything useful in it - there wasn't), feel a bit sad as it reminded me how much I'd moved things on in the time I was there, as there were no processes in the department at all when I arrived (eg no list anywhere of who the most important customers were) and now someone else will get the benefit of all my hard work 🙁 Although hopefully I will end up with the benefit of an employer that recognises the hard work in the first place 🙁 Anyway, it feels good to get a job ticked off the list. Might try and do another thing tomorrow, as I did try to pretend to myself that I would use this time to become a whirlwind of efficiency....
There was a centipede in my kitchen sink when I got home from BF's earlier. Don't even want to know where that came from, just using it to re-focus my efforts on getting the mortgage gone so I can move on with the refurb and making the place creepy crawly-proof....Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)
