No Craft Spending in 2020 - I will bust my stash this year!!!

I have yet to finish anything off, plague central over here
I have however started a few things- a Christmas card (I always enjoy making Christmas cards more in january), just needs a stamped insert; started sewing up the dungarees until I ran out of navy thread (I now have a huge reel, so should be fine- managed to not get any more craft stuff whilst buying that!!!); and I also started cutting out and tracing the Peter rabbit quilt applique pieces. I only bought the first three issues to get a couple of patterns on the cheap, and sold the rotary cutter straight away, so quids in and it's on the go.
I do have some time off booked next month, so hopefully a few more bits will get finished then! It's also BYOP craft club next week, so I will get a few cards made too (only including them when the inserts are done too).
Ohno hope you all feel better soon emsi_b:o:o
Well done on making a start on things. I am abit of a nightmare for starting things and then not finishing so please don't take after me:D

Yey - well done you :T:T:T
I have never used an overlocker - they scare me just watching them :eek::eek::eek:Mortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.020 -
Hi everyone, please can I join your merry band?
I have done lots of acquiring of crafting items in the last year, (mostly for card making), as I wanted a crafty hobby, and decided that I would like to be able to make my own cards and gift tags, but have failed spectacularly at actually making anything!
I have set myself a New Year's resolution to make all my own cards and gift tags this year, and this challeneg seems a fab way to encourage me with that goal and try to limit the acquisition side of crafting!
I have already made a birthday card for my brother, and a birthday card for my little one to take to a 4th birthday party at the weekend. I need to make a tag for the present as well as a birthday card for my MIL off us and one off LO, as well as a sympathy card for my friend who recently lost her father. So I have lots of crafting to do!
I'll set myself a goal of 100 cards/tags to make this year, though not sure how many I will actually need! I'm sorry my post has gotten a bit rambly, I'll stop waffling now! :rotfl:
Its great to have you with us eyebright and well done for already making a start :T:T:T
Sympathy cards are the worst to make aren't they:(:(
I cannot wait to hear all about your crafting and will watch intently for all your updates :j:j:j
PS:- I originally typed your target onto the first page as 1000 but luckily I spotted it or else you would have joined me in the insane target to reach club :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Mortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.020 -
I'm having a nightmare week as I've got lots of orders I need to be working on but my printer has decided it does not want to print black ink at all unless it is to smudge it over the page in random places :eek::eek: so I've not actually got much to declare towards my total apart from one sheet of stickers.
I suppose every little counts and it does take me to 120/2020 so I am officially well past the less than two thousand to go stage now :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Mortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.020 -
Sorry, not been keeping in touch, as well as normal life, trying to complete probate forms for my dad's stuff as mum used to him doing everything and has no idea what is involved, think if she was on her own she would have just carried on as if he was still here, and been done for pension fraud in several years time, still struggling to get her to understand why she cannot draw money from his accounts. Anyway to get a break from it all I escape to my crafting, have managed two cards, just in time too:eek:, also been doing a bit of redwork - can only manage a bit at a time due to hands, finally making a sweatshirt - all using stuff already have, although barely a dent, have only finished two things of these though - so that's 4 of 52. Well done everyone else though, don't know how you manage so much!! I think perhaps, I flit about a bit too much from one thing to another0

:eek::eek: I think 1000 might be a bit beyond me! I'm not even sure how realistic 100 is! I'm still a newby at card making. Think all the gear, no idea!!!:rotfl::rotfl: So a simple card takes me about 11 billion hours!
Sympathy card is finished. They really are the worst to make
So I'm at 3/100. Will try to figure out how to post a photo...0 -
Two more fiddle mats today, one I knitted yesterday and finished today, and decorated both.
35/100 - just over 1/3 of the way to my target!!Keep Calm and Carry On Kondoing

Oh clodagh trubble, please don't apologise this challenge is self paced so you can go as fast or as slow as you want to. It sounds like you have much more important issues at the moment - I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. Please know you are in my thoughts and I'm sending virtual hugs to you.
Well done on achieving 4 things and getting your total up and running. That's a fantastic achievement :T:T:TMortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.020 -

Oh bless you Eyebright. If its any consolation I aways set myself ridiculously high targets and never get anywhere close to hitting them :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Well done on completing that card - they are never easy to make. I bet it is gorgeous and again if its any consolation I've been making cards for years and they still take me hours to complete :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: xMortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.020 -
