Blocking cash withdrawals

  • You may already know this but withdrawing cash on the credit card will also have had a negative impact on your credit file so it is an important distinction for your wife to make.
Utter rubbish. Frequent cash withdrawals on a CC have no affect on your credit rating providing you pay them off promptly.

Agree. Unlike missing a payment, going over limit etc., Cash Withdrawals is a service that is available and promoted. I probably make around 50 ATM withdrawals a year. For those that believe in such things, my Experian is 999.

I'm guessing that they could only be negative when taken with other factors, ie running close to limits, only paying minimums etc. Even then, I'm not sure.
