thanks guys, i tried megatrain, unfortunately they don't do trains from inverness to glasgow will keep an eye though - it sounds so tight, but its for a funeral, but we've got so much coming out at the end of the month, council tax, road tax X2, car insurance X2.... rent, credit card, it's such a bummer, and i feel so guilty, but I d need to think how the heck we'll survive next month.

Claire's Citylink offer (see below) looks like your best value option by far if it's available - I doubt £5 return is available by any other mode of transport. Remember if you are travelling with people over 60, the concessionary scheme in Scotland allows free travel by intercity coach as well as local buses so it would extend to Citylink services.

Alternatively megabus do a journey Inverness to Glasgow, this can be incredibly cheap if booked in advance. However with megabus you would have to change at Perth.

Also as above with this National Express offer there are some good deals, but I'm not sure if NX go as far north as Inverness...?

With those three links I should think you will be able to get a good deal on one of them, as long as you can be reasonably flexible about the times you can travel (is there a relly in Glasgee you could stay over with to make dates a bit more flexible too?)

I was wondering if anyone has a discount code for National Express leaving from gloucester to heathrow.

I've had a look on the site and they have a booking fee is this new?? Also, the tickets have a number of options e.g. amendable/refundable. Amendable is that the time for that day or is the date changable too (just in case the flight is late/delayed etc)
