The fact that you can only have one app at a time running for First Direct is the reason I bank with them
It is highly secure and means that somebody else cannot simply load the app onto their phone and access your account
You can have the APP on more than one device. Just you CAN NOT have the digital secure key on more than one device.
I know a few that have secure key on their I-Pad but still have the banking app on their i-phone.
Pretty sure no bank will let you have more than one session via mobile banking.Life in the slow lane0 -

No issues using the Lloyds banking app (fully registered) on my 2 phones simultaneously.I suspect the same can be done with Halifax & BoS apps too. However unlike FD the Lloyds banking group don't use a 'secure key' (physical or virtual one).0 -

No issues here logging into the FD app on my iPhone XS using FaceID. In fact, it works flawlessly and i find the FD the quickest banking app to log into when using FaceID - Santander being the slowest using FaceID. My suggestion would be to ask your mum to de-register the FD app first, then delete it. Install the app again and follow the app instructions to register - you will have to enable FaceID as its NOT enabled by default. That should do the trick.
