The options I have at the moment are to pay before a CCJ is issued or it goes further to court proceedings.0 -
the CCJ only comes at the end of the court proceedings, if you had lost
in which case its pay up promptly, within 30 days
the court claim is before any CCJ, work out what CCJ means, the J is Judgment , the judgement is given by the Judge, on the day
it would have been an MCOL court claim that was issued, not a CCJ0 -
And we win 99% of cases in court. PPCs are scammers, not to be paid. The options I have at the moment are to pay before a CCJ is issued or it goes further to court proceedings.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I have seen that video and it is helpful, thank you! At the minute I'm thinking of the time and effort of going through that whole process, which still isn't appealing to me. Thanks again though.0 -
So you'd rather support and fund the scam against the next vulnerable people? It's a matter of principle to us; of not assisting this scam.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Having tried to speak to them on the phone to get the transfer of liability into my name, I have decided to contest it, Ive never dealt with such obstructive and unhelpful people.
Would I now have to wait for the LBC to arrive in my name before being able to contest it, or shall I ignore further letters until I receive one from an actual court? I have tried to navigate through the newbies thread but am finding it all very confusing.0 -
You can't transfer liability, this is not your PCN, it is your father's. So he must transfer the liability, but under no circumstances should that be done by telephone - NO! Everything in writing, but he must act very quickly and with utmost urgency as once VCS issue a formal court claim (which is likely in the next few days), transferring liability is no longer legally possible and your father will have to deal with it.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Sorry, my dad has transferred liability after speaking to them over the phone. He was advised to send an email with my details which he has now done. He received a generated email back to say that this can take up to 28 days.
With the deadline being 4th Jan 2020 am I right in thinking that if they took up to 28 days the deadline would have passed and it would remain in my dad's name?
Thanks a lot for your advice.0
