Faulty TV 30 Day Return

Looking for advice on how to get a full refund on a faulty TV (Already had one replacement within 30 days, second TV has the same issue but I'm now outside 30 days from the purchase date)

What did you buy?
TV

When did you buy it?
November 22nd 2019

Where from?
Internet - AO

How did you pay? (cash/cheque/debit card/credit card etc)
Buy now pay later

What went wrong?
Faulty sound on first TV. Got a replacement with the exact same issue.

What are the vendors telling you?
They will only offer a repair as they say the replacement TV though I have only had the replacement for 14 days. They say I am outside 30 days so that's all I am entitled to.

What solution or remedy are you looking for? (Companies may Repair / Refund / Replace)
I want a full refund as I have lost confidence in this brand of TV and have had the same fault in both TV's. I have had two identical TV's in 35 days and AO and the manufacturer are only offering a repair.
Wondering what options I have to help me get a refund?

Cheers!

Speak to AO again and remind them that under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 they are only allowed a single attempt to repair/replace the TV, after which you will be entitled to a full refund. Also, remind them that within 30 days you had the right to reject the TV in the first place for a full refund and this short-term right to reject is effectively on pause until you are satisfied by their first remedy, which in this case you are not as the fault persists.

    Good Advice neilmcl

Only 1 thing to add, the retailer exchanged the first TV I expect without checking for fault, it’s not unreasonable for them to inspect and verify the fault this time as it’s not normal that 2 TVs in a row have the same fault with the same customer
Of course if it’s faulty you should get a refund ok
  • What is the "sound" fault? Many budget TVs are too small to house a proper speaker setup and will sound poor. Hence the reason soundbars are so popular.
