Hi. Can I buy my daughter and her boyfriend's flights on my credit card? I wondered if they would need to purchased by the actual persons flying?

Yes, of course you can.
Though if you choose to buy direct from an airline's website, check their policy firstly. Some insist on seeing the card at check-in. Though a signed note with pictures of both sides of the card will often suffice.0 -
Fab - thanks
I know with train tickets you need the card they were purchased with to collect the tickets at the station - just wondered if it was the same with flights.0 -

If bought via a travel agent, then no issue. But then you may have more restrictive tickets. Check the specifics and then weigh up your options.0 -
My work pay for my flights all the time, have never been asked for evidence of credit card used to pay.0

Make sure that you get the names correct on the booking.
If the guys name is John Smith & you always call him Jon Jon don't book the flight using Jon Jon...............0 -
There will be no Section 75 protection if you purchase for them.0

Theoretically many airlines say in their T&C's that you must have the card you pay on when you fly.
I have seen threads on this forum where someone was denied boarding because they didn't have it. I recall that was Virgin.
Never happened to me though.....0
