Hi All
I need your help because I got parking ticket that states parking on disabled bay without displaying blue badge. There was no clear sign that bay was for disabled people and also on the bay disabled sign was washed out. It was 6 30 evening and due to dark It was not visible as half of the sign was faded. Also the images uploaded as an evidence of parking does not show that it was disabled parking bay. Please help.me to avoid the penality as I cannot afford to pay. If there was proper sign of disabled parking I would have parked somewhere else as there was plenty parking spaces available. I would be thankful if anyone can help me.

Have you complained to any of the shops yet? If not do so. If they can't help ask them who the managing agent is and complain to them.
Which parking company is this?0 -
Its ukpc. Yes I talked to the manager of pizzahut and he said they do not control parking and he cannot do anything.0
-
Ok find out who the managing agent is. Ask at the shops or use good old google0

Get yourself some quality photos of the parking bay and those that surround it. Get them twice - once during daylight hours, then a second batch taken roughly at the same time of day as the parking event and in similar light/weather conditions. Do the same with the signage in the car park and especially any signage close to the disabled bays. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

UKPC are well-known fraudsters, read this

Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams, so consider complaining to your MP, it can cause the scammer extra costs and work, and has been known to get the charge cancelled.
Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.
Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -

Edit your initial post to remove information about who did what. Only ever refer to The Driver and The Keeper, who are two different people.
Read the sticky thread for NEWBIES then send the appeal template in blue text you will find there. Send it unaltered from The Keeper.

At the top there are some blue links. Click on the one that says "Parking Tickets Fines & Parking". That takes you to the board index. The sticky threads are at the top. It's the one that tells Newbies to read it first.
To get to the blue links just scroll up. No need to leave this page even.0
