  • Does his employer have any healthcare avenues they could explore?

This could be reported as elder abuse.

This is a criminal matter, it is pretty much the definition of a CLA 1977 Section 7 Adverse occupation of residential premises. The police still might not get involved, they should but there we go, but reporting it would be the first thing I would do and see where that leads.

Actually he has! The post is redirected to work. His mobile number has changed so they can't beg anymore. Work will not allow him to talk to them if they phone. He is able to shower etc at work and there are launderettes for clothes. He uses a microwave at work for a hot meal and, when he was without money, a colleague has given him sandwiches. He is parked in the work car park. There is far more to this situation which would not be appropriate to share. I too would find it hard to believe but we really do need to find a way to help him, it's been going on for far too long. My fear is for his health - particularly in the winter - there is even more of a story around this.

    Ok, I am on board.
I am presuming he has been abused scared into submission and they have something 'on him'.
What a shocking situation. Have the police been told or is he afraid to?

So he's not going home to pick up post, pay bills?
What about personal hygiene and laundry? Not many work places would tolerate the level of hygiene that tends to go along with living in a car.

Police won't get involved unless there's a breach of the peace as it's a civil matter. He needs to get legal advice about how to get them shifted from private land, and how to prevent them coming back.

Sorry but actually the police would get involved as it's a criminal matter - residential squatting is a criminal offence
  • Could he get the caravan towed off his property park/dump it elsewhere and before anyone says its illegal to move it,if they complained who would believe them.

Thank you all for the helpful suggestions. He is now back in his home and they are no longer on his property. Hopefully things can only get better for him now.

    Thanks for the update.
It would be helpful if you explained how it happened as it might benefit someone else with the same problem.
