3 x NSD hoping to make it around to next Monday before any more shopping trips.
  • Good morning all,
So far spent £434 with one shop to go. Have an offer from S*bury for £18 off a first on-line shop. Should be able to get in below target. Yesterday we had our fortnightly rubbish to land fill collection. I am really pleased to have got this down to a small bag, a big reduction. :j We have increased our recycling and composting.
Aiming to early retire December 31st 2026.
  • Reporting in for January: £155 / £150. Not terrible but not ideal either.

My month starts on the 21st, so I'm now into the next month's pot. Hope it's ok to keep logging progress here, and I'll move what left to the Feb challenge thread.

£400 budgeted for end Jan/Feb, with £80 of that already paid out for school lunches for the month.

Spent £51 at Aldi, so now at £269/£400.
  • Ok so I failed miserably and am not gonna even write it down. Wipe the slate clean. Payday yesterday so will be starting February challenge from 22 - 21

  • Life has got in the way of this challenge (husband had tendon op and is in plaster / on crutches) and I haven't been able to pop on much to log my spends.

I've just collated my receipts and updated my totals... £228.80 spent so far out of my £300 target. I'm well pleased as I don't think I will need very much next week so will come in under budget!

Meal planning and accountability is definitely the key to reducing my budget and I'm looking forward to the Feb challenge when I will try and post a bit more frequently!
It's better to beg forgiveness than ask permission.
