We had a bad storm here over the last few days. Apparently some supermarkets were low on fresh produce but I had no issues this morning. Needed more breakfast items and bread for later.

Another few bits from Tesco today - cat treats, hummus and bread sticks. Then picked up 6 pints of milk from Aldi. So another fiver waved goodbye to :A
Leek Risotto from the River Cottage veg book tonight. The topping is supposed to be chestnuts but we replaced with sliced chestnut mushrooms microwaved. There isn't any parmesan in the recipe so its healthy and money saving.OSWL (start 13st) by 30Jun20 6/10

£8.10 spent today on more bread (see what happens when I stop making it!) some pork steaks, broccoli & bananas. In my innocence I thought the pork might do two meals... in a sense, it will; tonight's dinner and OH's lunch at work tomorrow! But that's not quite what I'd meant. Never mind! I'll haul something out of the freezer for tomorrow night's tea.
I baked the pork steaks in some cider left over from Christmas with a shallot, leeks, paprika & salt. Simple and very tasty; I'll do that again.Angie - GC Jul 25: £225.85/£500 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)0 -
£67.42/£100 spent for Month so far Annual (27 Dec - 26 Dec) /£1,325 to be updated when declare for the month so as not to confuse myself cat food £71.33
Argh just lost my post.
£13.24 spent and added to total - On my list and purchased was veg and also got some reduced veg, herbs, crisps for Mr Socks, herbs, foil, tom puree, dips. Not on the list was the number of crisps i got (due to an offer), a reduced sauce and a reduced pie (53p) for Mr Socks and juices for adding to water.
i've spent a but more than i wanted to this week and have a couple of bits left to buy still. In some ways it felt inevitable after i kept putting off things that i needed the last 2 weeks. But the things not on my list, though they will be used, obviously added to the spends.
Really hoping to stay under budget, Month ends for me Sunday.
