1% challenge 2020

I have paid off an extra £114.09 today which takes me to 22p over the amount I am aiming for per month. Happy with that for today. I had a conversation with a friend who had been overpaying their mortgage but has decided to holiday more instead while the kids are young so I am trying not to pay so much that it affects our lifestyle too much but still chipping away at the balance.

Slightly ahead of target which is great! Also me and the better have have been doing some calculations and we should be able to greatly increase our over payments shortly.

£111 paid extra today, as my regular payments have reduced by £43 this has become easier to achieve, no gym payment as still on hold so used that money to overpay.

Another small overpayment this month but I also saved up £335 towards a new Google phone (phone is £349), released Oct.  By then I will have £420, so could, if I want use that instead to overpay and complete my second 1% overpayment this year, or I could treat myself.  I think when push comes to shove £350 is a lot of money to spend on a phone.  Will see what happens Oct
