I have paid off an extra £114.09 today which takes me to 22p over the amount I am aiming for per month. Happy with that for today. I had a conversation with a friend who had been overpaying their mortgage but has decided to holiday more instead while the kids are young so I am trying not to pay so much that it affects our lifestyle too much but still chipping away at the balance.1

£111 paid extra today, as my regular payments have reduced by £43 this has become easier to achieve, no gym payment as still on hold so used that money to overpay.

Aug £14.82
Sept £21.37
Another small overpayment this month but I also saved up £335 towards a new Google phone (phone is £349), released Oct. By then I will have £420, so could, if I want use that instead to overpay and complete my second 1% overpayment this year, or I could treat myself. I think when push comes to shove £350 is a lot of money to spend on a phone. Will see what happens Oct
