Hello
Just looking for some comments.......credit card was fraudulently used 2 weeks ago, bank sorted out and new card issued. New card was compromised yesterday. I have only made one purchase, via PayPal, on the new card. How could this be?

I don't know, hence my question.
How could a new card be compromised so quickly. Someone used it at Netflix. I don't have a Netflix account.0 -
Check out your computer/laptop/tablet for any malware or viruses.0

Yep, done all that, nothing found. Don't hold any credit card stuff on the PC and laptop, only purchase on the card was with PayPal. Just have to wait and see. Just wanted thoughts if this was a common occurrence after getting a new card.0

Odds on that it was also had a transaction to Netflix when compromised 1st time.
Netflix use Visa Account Updater on a weekly basis. Gets them new card no's on stopped cards.
Thus they transfer to the new card.
So in effect the new card has not been compromised as such and card provider do not need to stop it.
All they need to do is put a block on netflix
Happens on such a regular basis that it actually part of our process when there is fraud on a card and there are processed or declined transactions to netflix.
Saves a lot of pain for customers :TLife in the slow lane0 -

Confused as to just what this has to do with a card compromise.Life in the slow lane0 -
My Metro card was used to buy a load of playstation stuff - I dont have a playstation - and hadnt used it in ages and new card safely at home.
I can only conclude it was an employee who sold numbers off to be used online.0 -

Employee of who?
Every time you use your card at any retailer. The full card no is kept on retailer till roll or system if online.
Could also be obtained if a retailer had been hacked as per BA.Life in the slow lane0
