AR on credit report

I am looking to apply for a mortgage early next year. I entered into a DMP end of 2013 which finished beginning 2017. I have 1 default which has now gone from my report but I have 3 other accounts that have AR on them with ST as last marker. The accounts are fully settled and towards the end of the DMP I paid more than what my original agreement payment would of been. Can I ask the creditors to change these account to default? Would the default date be from 2013 if they agreed? If a default is not possible will lenders see that I have fully settled my accounts and paid above standard payments to close them? Me and my wife have saved a 15% deposit for a mortgage and my financials are in a good place now. I hope any mortgage application we do will not be rejected without consideration.

Ask them to backdate a default to with 6 months if the default. You may get lucky.0

Definitely file a complaint, those Arrangment to Pay markers stay on your file for 6 years after you have cleared the debt, so in your case around 2023 before they drop off your credit file.
Quote FCA guidence which states "a default should be registered after between 3/6 missed contractural payments".
You can also say that by marking your file in such a way, you have suffered detriment, because you took the responcible path to repay your debts via debt mangement, but you have been treated the same as someone who has made no effort to repay their debts at all, therefore they have treated you unfairly.
Ask that they either, remove the arrangement markers altogether, or, default the account instead, and backdate to 2013.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Many thanks for your response. I will write to the lenders in question and see if they will default the accounts or remove the markers.0

For my Barclaycard account I have AR markers with them then the debt was sold to PRA group which have also added AR markers. Do I need to contact them both?0

Same complaint to both yes, so they are on the same page.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Really appreciate the advice. Letters are going out today. If they adhere to my request I will be in a much better place to apply for a mortgage.0

Halifax have said they are going to call me regarding my complaint about AR's. Any suggestions on how this call should be handled? I was hoping communication would be through correspondence so I can keep a record.0

You just need to ask them to backdate a default. No special script required.
Correspondence is great but slower and less effective than a call.0 -

Some good news. Halifax agreed to remove my account from my report. They also will do the same for my bank of Scotland account. They said it will take between 6-8 weeks for my credit report to update. They also paid me £100 as they said the accounts should of been removed sooner. Just Barclaycard to go now then my report will be in a good place for a mortgage.0
