Can anyone tell me how long it should take to get a response to a text for a PAC code please?
I'm currently with Three.
Many thanks

A few weeks ago i got a Pac by text from three and it took around 20mins but could take longer if they are busy like now over christmas.
My advises is when you get it don't use over the weekend because it takes a lot longer to go across.
I did mine on a Tuesday and had my number up and running on Wednesday.Nobody is Perfect. I am Nobody, therefore I am Perfect. 0 0

Thanks for that. It was only 8.30 this morning. Should you get a received confirmation before the PAC?

I left 3 last week,I received a text within a few seconds to say they couldn't do it because of a system fault and then 5 minutes later it came through anywaysheffieldeagle wrote: »Thanks for that. It was only 8.30 this morning. Should you get a received confirmation before the PAC?

Yes as far as i can remember just to tell you to use with-in 30 days or contract wouldn't end. then the Pac came though a little while after.sheffieldeagle wrote: »Thanks for that. It was only 8.30 this morning. Should you get a received confirmation before the PAC?

Thanks again. I've received a text for a new deal but no sign of PAC yet. Looks like patience will be required given time of year.

The guidelines from Ofcom (or whoever the regulator people are) say it should be immediate if requested by phone (ie, the can't fob you off or say you have to wait), ideally 10 minutes if requested by text, but definitely within 2 hours.
I unfortunately know this because when recently trying to escape for Plusnet we got up to 28 days before I got mine, and had to quote all manner of regulator gubbons at them.0

it seems a long time even for Christmas i would have thought you would have it by now i would try inputting the Pac again and leave it 1hr if you still not got it try ringing them other then that there is not much you can do.( also double check when putting digits in just in case you put one in wrong it can happen.)sheffieldeagle wrote: »Thanks again. What number did you send the request to?
On Three, Text PAC and your date of birth (DDMMYY)to 65075
 e.g. 'PAC 071281'0

Thanks to the recent posts for your thoughts. Just to confirm I know they have received my request because they sent me an offer by text they same day. Which you could argue is a bit naughty. I'm going to give another day to see if I get a response then try an online request.

I requested a PAC from EE 2am on Christmas Day by texting PAC to 65075 and received it within 20 minutes later.
I wasn't expecting it that quick. Especially on Christmas Day.0
