I'm not disagreeeing with you Johnmcl7, just you can make the average user difficult to achieve this, but not impossible0

The OP could achieve what they want with basic file permissions which would prevent other users seeing the folders as well as restricting access which was one of the first replies to the thread but the OP has rejected that approach multiple times. If these users are technical enough to bypass that setup then they're going to be technical enough to get around setups that involve trying to obscure the location of the files.
In addition as a few other people have pointed out since these users have physical access to the machine even if their rights are restricted, they can be easily bypassed outwith the OS.0 -
Nobody heard of powershell or WSL ? I said a million posts ago 3 admins ergo all bets are off , notwithstanding access to the USB ports/BIOS no point discussing this further. Someone earlier said encrypting and that is the only way to protect viewing users stuff, but of course admins can still delete the data.

A fair proportion of this thread have made this point but the OP still disagrees.

Who is this OP?
And why does he appear to be saying the total opposite of what I’m saying?0 -
You have an answer in post 68 and 70 that will work for you if the users are of a technical ability of which your original solution defeated them.
I have nothing else to add0 -

That’s my point, and also what you seem to have dodged slightly.
Why are people acting like I’ve said we’re dealing with top level computer hackers who could get in and out of the governments system without ever being traced
When I’ve said the total opposite.
That’s the question.0 -

You have been given plenty of options, you have been told several times that you can use folders permissions to restrict access to folders.0
