Talk Talk email addresses cut off

Hi I have just found out that my fathers email address with Talk Talk may cost him £50 a year. He cannot get Broadband with Talk Talk and was moved over to Fleur in 2015, again something he didn't quite understand, as he thought Fleur was part of Talk Talk. It seems as though he had missed the email telling about this in July time. Does anybody know if the email could still be working? Unfortunately he has been in hospital for a while, and I don't live nearby.
I would like to set up another free account for him, and transfer everything but I wonder if I am too late to do that. Does anybody know? On the internet it looks as though there was no cut off date given. Trying to call Talk Talk is like speaking to a brick wall, they are in South Africa, and seem to have no idea what I am asking them.
thanks for any help

Why not just try accessing the email account? Your location is immaterial if he'll trust you with the log in details.0 -
Mine was still accessible last week. If I remember rightly there's a change over period of a few months.
I would suggest setting up a new free one, letting anyone important know of the change and save/forwards across any that he needs to keep. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
Ok just checked.
Still accessible but only on https://www.talktalk.co.uk/mail and not through third party applications.
It just says "a few months" after 4.12.19 they will start closing down mailboxes that aren't registered with broadband or signed up to mail plus. Which sounds like there's a fair bit of leeway yet.
But if he's worried, he can sign up to talktalk mail plus at £5 a month, so if they're happy to do that on a month by month basis then he could phone them to do that while he is in hospital and reconsider later. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Yes sounds easy except neither of the passwords dad have given to me actually work. He just turns on the computer and the emails are there, he doesn’t login as such. He has had the email with talk talk for years now but sounds like it’s time to get a free one he won’t have to change. I have set one up so if the old one is working we can pay for a month and move things over. Fingers crossed he can take a look now he is home again. He is 87 so a lot of things don’t make sense and trying to understand the guys on the phone haven’t proved helpful at all from talk talk, plus they won’t speak to me about anything on the ac, and dad has been too unwell to think of turning on the computer. Thanks for your help0

Email client > tools > security show passwords or similiaar depending upon email program used .0

Have you tried to reset the password? It may work without having a secondary email address or mobile number. If its as simple as just receiving an email and clicking a web address on in it. But he may need to do this on his already signed in computer.
You could try this link though:
