For anyone following this thread.. my valuation came back that the house was originally a local authority property (council house) so that means it’s not a 15% deposit the mortgage lender require it’s a 25%

I know this thread is from a while back (pre Covid) has anyone used TML more recently? 

We submitted our application last Tuesday 16th  , have noticed hard searches have been done on our credit files. 

Would be good to compare my scenario with someone who has obtained a mortgage recently with these

My broker said they had an application turned around in 3 weeks recently. We may be going with these.

@cjp2308 fab news. Did they ask you for much extra information after applying? Mine went in on Monday and I’ve not heard anything since. My broker literally knows my life story so they might be going to him with questions he knows the answers to, but (I know it’s only 72 hours later) I expected to be asked for more info to be honest.

If you broker knows life story he can probably answer most questions. 

Generally will take them 3 to 4 days to come back with initial questions anyway, so if it was submitted Monday I would expect anything before Friday or Monday next week.
