Athena Civil Parking Charge Notice - Lidl Car Park Dundee
Comments

So we have to physically go into the store to do this? We live about 30 miles from Dundee so was planning on calling the store, perhaps that's a bit hopeful? You might be better off waiting for the second letter and then you can kill two birds with one stone, rather than popping into Lidl twice and having then say, we did it the first time, didn't you learn your lesson? Sometimes they will only cancel it as "we will do it this time as a courtesy as it was the first time it happened!" If/when you do go, don't overstay your welcome in the car park. When you do complain to Lidl, don't say "I" parked as you give away the driver.0

Lidl almost certainly have a Facebook page - try posting/messaging there. (That's what I did when SWMBO got a PCN from an Aldi store and it was cancelled). But remember - no Me, Myself or I ... the Driver did this, the Keeper received that, etc. (Supermarkets sometimes pass communications on to the parking company to handle).0

As above
Complain to head office , ideally to the CEO , using the royal WE in your complaint , add the PCN references and VRM details , name and address , add any proof of patronage like copies of receipts and redacted bank statements etc
Go to the top , by electronic mail , no faffing around, no stupid comments about who was driving o who parked
We shopped
We are regular customers
Your customers should not have to put up with the surcharges

Why drive when you email the big boss

There is only one question, does he still want your business as right now with this fiasco, Lidl are the most expensive in the UK0 -
Thank you all for your replies, you provided me with very helpful info and we've acted upon a combination of everyones advice. We've emailed the email address mentioned above as well as contacted Lidls on facebook. I'll let you know what happens next... thanks!0

You should also complain to your MSP about this unregulated scam as well as asking when the new mandatory parking code of practice will be introduced, and ask how members of the motoring public will be able to contribute during the consultation stage.
Also ask why Scottish MPs have sold Scottish motorists down the sewer by introducing keeper liability with the new Transport Act that allows someone who may not even have been in the car at the time of the alleged event to be liable for a charge by an unregulated scammer.
Ms Sturgeon is banging on about Scottish independence but has allowed a dreadful law from south of the border to be introduced to drag it down to the same level.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

I got in touch with LIDL through there Facebook page and they want nothing to do with it. Spoke to two separate people managing the page and both said they cannot help and that I have to appeal by means mentioned in the letter from ATHENA.
I am still awaiting a response on the email side of things...Why drive when you email the big boss

Aldi will cancel via their Facebook page. I have never seen a Lidl cancellation via anyone other their MD Christian Haertnagel. Just be patient, it will come. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Thanks, we'll just wait it out then. Just to repeat incase it wasn't clear that on both occasions the driver parked at LIDLS and said driver never actually shopped at LIDL. Therefore they have no receipts (never usually keep them anyway) or proof and so they are merely objecting and bluffing their way through this.Aldi will cancel via their Facebook page. You mean
The driver parked at Lidl , so you haven't got the hang of this yet , time to catch up with the English and Welsh due to your keeper liability starting next month
Words mean something
I would suggest that the driver stops Parking on private property unless using the facilities0
