I thought that woud apply to windscreens rather than what sounds like an attempted break in or theft.
Even if it was self paid then in theory it should be reported though.
With that in mind, I'd be claiming. It's just a glass claim, so shouldn't affect NCB or future premiums.0 -
Depending on the car and how handy you are it may be worth pricing it up at a scrappy. You also need to check what "glass" is actually covered, mine for instance does cover my panoramic roof - many don't. Last time I claimed for a windscreen it added a small amount to the premium.0

Assuming side windows aren't covered (by the windscreen clause) what is your excess?
