hello, i hope someone can help me,
i have won a holiday to florida in august 2020, i am divorced and my 9 year old daughter lives with her mum, her mother lied to a court saying I was violent so she wouldn't have to let me know where my daughter is living, it has been over a year and I still do not know where she lives, this is a very upsetting topic for me as I am not violent in any way, I have applied to the court to take my daughter next year and my friend and her daughter will be coming too, my concern is that if the court says I can take my daughter with me, what do I do when it comes to the ESTA? dont I have to put her address down as her mothers address? I dont know her doctors either and I know her mum will make it as difficult as possible even if the court does give me permission to go. thank you for any help.

It seems somewhat inappropriate under the circumstances, for your next move to be to take your daughter out of the country.
How do you know your daughters feelings on the subject.
Did your ex say you were abusive mentally or physically.0 -
we have been separated for four years and the only reason my ex accused me of it was because of some anti depressants I was on that made me shout, i I have never hurt anyone, and i find it strange that you think it unfair i would want to take my daughter on a holiday i have won as for my daughter she really wants to go abroad with me too just like she has been with her mum several times.0

I think it strange that you are thinking of taking your daughter - and her friend - on holiday when you don't even know where she lives.
How much contact do you have with your daughter on a regular basis?0 -
From the very limited information given in the OP it is not possible to say anything sensible about whether or not the proposed holiday is appropriate. That is a matter for the court to decide, and I would not seek to preempt that decision.
In the event that the court approves the holiday, you (OP) could mention the ESTA issue and ask the court what to do.0 -
i am asking for help with an esta, not my personal life, why is everyone concentrating on who i go on holiday with? we have a final order in place by the court and i have my daughter every other weekend and half of all holidays, i won a holiday and rather than let two places go to waste i have asked a friend who i have known since i was at school and would have never be able to go otherwise and who's daughter plays with mine all the time and whom we have been on holiday with twice in the uk already. i would really like help with an ESTA, i am doing nothing wrong and have equal parental rights as ordered by a court because my ex ran off with my child. can you please stop attacking me.0

all i wanted to know was if i have to use my ex wifes address or i could use my own as we have equal parental responabilites, i know that it is down to a court to decide i wasnt asking that but thank you all for treating me like i have done something wrong.0

I apologise for attacking you.
I don't believe I can add anything more so I'm out.0 -

Have you taken any legal advice (solicitor or CAB) about the court application?
If so, the people you contacted should be able to offer advice about your concerns.
Failing that, I would have thought that if the court grants you permission to take your daughter on holiday, they would make sure that you are given information such as her address they would ensure that this is provided if only for the welfare of your daughter.
After all, you would need her doctor's details should the need for any medical treatment be required whilst she is in your care.0 -

I didn’t say it was unfair, from the information provided, it seemed unusual. I too can’t offer anything else .0 -
Suggestion - contact the US Embassy in London and ask for their guidance.all i wanted to know was if i have to use my ex wifes address or i could use my own as we have equal parental responabilites, i know that it is down to a court to decide i wasnt asking that but thank you all for treating me like i have done something wrong.0
