Amazon Missing Parcel

I thought about claiming on credit card but I think the minimum start amount you can claim is something like a £100. It was only £20 so a lot of hassle for the return but just angry at Amazons attitude.
Most of the small items I order from Amazon come via Royal Mail.
Having lived in a remote location I'm aware that some delivery drivers do 'phantom cardings'. And a delivery driver that did turn up left a package containing a mobile phone under my neighbour's car.
I'm surprised Amazon didn't send a replacement to you.
You can ask your card provider to do a 'chargeback' for an item that isn't delivered. Amazon could challenge it, however for the sake of £20 they probably won't.

Snowtiger Thanks for the info I will give it a try, I didn't know about this. Its not really the money I feel Amazon are questioning my honesty and thats whats annoyed me.I did receive a smaller item from Amazon a few weeks ago via Royal Mail, it usually takes longer because its often second class mail but at least they do turn up eventually.0

CCA 75 is a min of £100 per item. Not including P&P
But a Chargeback (DEBIT & CREDIT CARDS) does not have a minimum amount.
Only issue is whether Amazon can prove delivery. They would need to produce a signature for that.Life in the slow lane0 -
I don't think Amazon can prove they delivered it because someone was at home all the time delivery was expected. We always do that when waiting for deliveries living where we do so they might produce a signature but I know its no one at my property. I will give it a go and see what happens.0

Possibly a slightly different issue, but I’ve just had a parcel delivered with someone else’s name and address on the front and mine on the back (my address label has clearly come off another parcel, given that it’s so crumpled). However, it must belong to someone else who is now missing their parcel.
Amazon have told me to keep it but hopefully the other person gets their parcel sorted (equally, I don’t want to just pop it back in the post to them, in case it has been sorted - the ideal solution would have been a return label provided by Amazon, but clearly it isn’t worth enough to them).
Anyway, outcome of the ramble is that mistakes happen but I’ve always found Amazon to be very good at sorting them out.Northern Ireland club member No 382 :j0 -

That makes no difference. All they need to do is prove delivery (signature) and you have lost the chargeback.
Good luck. Although how often do Amazon actually ask for a signature? Only times I have is when I have bought something that requires proof of age (Knife)Life in the slow lane0 -
Just to update you all I went online to my bank and filled in a claim form for the Visa disputes dept. After four weeks I got a full refund. Thanks to everyone that offered advice. Glad I kept chasing this up it paid off in the end.0

Nice ,but be aware that the retailer has 45 days to contest the chargeback. Which will at a guess be from the date you saw the refund.
So don't go mad and spend it all :rotfl:Life in the slow lane0
