Morrison’s Fuel Voucher

Has anyone got any thoughts on whether I’m right or wrong here.
I got a 10p off a litre voucher at Morrison’s. Mrs Crypto and I took our cars to fill up. She filled up her car, moved off the pump and then I went on it and did the same. So both cars on one pump but as two dispensings.
The assistant and the petrol supervisor were quite arsey about it and said that I couldn’t use the voucher as it was two transactions. I pointed out that I was paying for both lots of fuel, they were on one pump, and it was therefore only one transaction. They eventually backed down by the manager said she would “tell head office and ensure it couldn’t be done again.” I didn’t really say anything else.

I’ve done this many times at various Morrions without issue.

No chance, but I won’t do it again. If they’d pointed it it was one vehicle only I’d have been snookered. Looks their their lack of precision worked to my advantage on this occasion.

I'm surprised you had to ask......i thought most people would have known it was per fill up/vehicle
  • When I've had a coupon I've filled the car and the cans for the lawn mower. It's never been questioned

I don't see anything wrong with doing that as you are not going against the T&C's of the offer:

You only used the coupon once and you didn't fill more than one vehicle.

I'm surprised they did not call the police when seeing 1st car move off without paying...

I take it that there was also someone still holding the pump or it would have closed the transaction...

  • Round here Morrisons charge 124.9p per litre whilst the nearest ASDA charges 117.7p - you don't have to spend £60 to get the cheaper petrol at ASDA. It would not be worth it for me just for 10p off.

More like your capability to act like a bell end worked in your favour.

You were wrong and you were the one getting all 'arsey'

So someone points out you’re wrong, yet you still blame Morrison’s because you badgered them into it.
