Vodafone Pay Monthly cc passed but ID check decined

Hi

Applied over the phone for phone + sim.

All checks passed.

Went to store - gave debit card asked to put pin in.

Pin ok but ID declined.

Told by store cannot take order further. Try new connection in store?

Not possible as failed ID check, go back home. Driving licence not

acceptable

Anyone had this?

A driving license is normally a good proof of ID unless... have you moved in the last few months? Is it damaged in any way (enough to make them think it's been tampered with?).
And, obviously, the address on it is the same as the address you gave them to open the acc?

Have not moved for 6 years.

Card physically ok

Manager arsey won't accept anything else.

Phone due to be returned to wharehouse tomorrow.

Just tried another debit card from another Bank provider which worked to verify my ID.

Now I am beginning to wonder how bumpy the next 24 months will be like with Vodafone.
