Hi all,
This post is going to be a little similar to one of my previous posts regarding a squeak in my car.
I have had my new 62 plate chevrolet spark for around 3 weeks now.
All has been good with it apart from the fact that sometimes i hear a slight squeak noise when parking, braking etc. As i say i only hear it sometimes, not all the time.
I have called a garage in order to get it checked out tomorrow morning. I described the squeak as almost like a bird tweeting as it can be quite quiet :rotfl: and he said if the squeak isn't too loud it shouldn't be a big problem.
I hope this will not be a big repair job and just a case of something getting oiled? I am no mechanic so i wondered if anyone could give some advice? I am really hoping it isn't costly too.

Probably just brakes, or suspension, I very much doubt it's anything to worry about.0

Did we really need yet another thread?
Do we really need another person upset by another thread who can’t simply just move on to a thread they like and instead need to tell everyone how a thread has upset them so much by saying the thread wasn’t needed???
On the plus side at least you didn’t respond with the ‘funny’ reply ... “mouse”.1 -
Is it a different squeak to yesterdays squeak, or is it very similar ?

Probably just needs the brakes stripping and cleaning... about an hour's labour.
But depending on the condition of the pads it's sometimes worth replacing those while it's stripped down.
About £80 all in at a back street garage or £150 at a main dealership.0 -
The squeek is a lot easier to diagnose if you can,
demonstrate it to the person investigating ,( go for a short demo )
Have a video / or recording of the sound, for example on a phone,l have spent a lot of time looking for noises on cars ,many disappeared when asked to demo,so ensure its not environmental
( driving over a loose drain channel for example.)Deepest Kent. 4.6kW Growatt inverter, solar i boost+ 5.9kW Solar Edge

My woeful [STRIKE]Renault[/STRIKE] Nissan has a really annoying squeak from inside the seatback when I change position, so I don't
Turning round to look behind will definitely make it squeak.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
