So the blue, numbered bays are within a secure area, but the red shaded bay is not?

You've paid for an allocated space - were allocated, secured spaces also available but at a higher price?

We have a similar set up. The spaces in our secure underground car park also attract a substantial additional service charge and the overground car park spaces don’t.

Hardly seems unfair, given the additional cost of maintaining that secured area.

I'm suspecting the OP's getting exactly what they're paying for, and the wrong space was initially allocated. The contract clause seems to cover the situation.

    I'd certainly expect that back.
I don't see on what basis they could get it back. They've paid for an allocated parking space, they've got an allocated parking space. It might not be the space which they would have chosen to allocate to themselves, but the contract they signed doesn't give them a say in which space it is.

We signed for space 4. Our completion statement says space 4. Our contract says space 4. I understand it seems that they can change it but not on these grounds?

Would you be so kind as to answer the question about the difference between secured and external spaces?

The lease says it's "the parking space allocated by the Landlord from time to time". They don't need any "grounds" to reallocate it.

If anybody can park there its not an allocated space.

When we arrived today they told us that isn't our space and instead the space we have is what I have highlighted in red. Firstly, anybody can park there

Its possible the op was or is unsure what they were buying but paying £15k suggests a private space.

"Allocated" just means they have an exclusive right to park there. I think all the OP means is that there is no physical barrier to somebody else stealing the space. That's hardly unusual. And might be something which can be fixed.

Sorry didn't see the original. The option wasn't given so I assume nothing.
