Birmingham Airport-APCOA PCN HELP!

Hi all, new to this but grateful of any help if you can. Received a PCN today for stopping just past the Ibis Hotel to let a passenger out at Birmingham Airport( I am a private hire driver). I was there for 46 seconds and have received this PCN for £95!
On the PCN it states I was at LONDON LUTON AIRPORT, 4 photos none of which clearly identify my registration number. What can I do?
Cheers

you can read the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread, third thread down from the top of this forum
you can appeal as KEEPER (not driver , thats a secret not to be revealed at all) using the blue text template from post #1 , a 5 minute job
then you read all 2019 BHX and Luton airport threads on here, find a similar case and copy and adapt their POPLA appeal to suit your own case (a 5 minute job)
APCOA will chuck the towel in when they see the popla appeal, but not before
then its game over0 -
It's only APCOA, easy to beat just by copying from another APCOA BHX thread! Search the forum and all will be revealed, and do NOT say who was driving in your appeal, obviously.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD0 -
Thanks for the advice. The PCN says the vehicle pulled up at LONDON LUTON AIRPORT, this vehicle has NEVER been to Luton. Can't I get it dismissed on the basis of inaccurate information on the PCN? Cheers0

Better to stick with the plan for now
Put the incorrect location on the popla appeal to prove that they failed due diligence as an additional point0 -

Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams, so consider complaining to your MP, it can cause the scammer extra costs and work, and has been known to get the charge cancelled.
Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.
Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
Thanks guys. Should I wait until the 26th day to post my first template to APCOA, as read elsewhere or do it now? Cheers0

I would do it after day 25 , just to string it out a bit as bylaws apply , but don't miss the deadline
This will be rejected , so start copying and adapting any bhx popla appeal from last year , adding the incorrect location to it , but as POFA does not apply then APCOA will chuck the towel in when they see the popla appeal , same as always , so your location point won't be considered0 -
Thanks Redx, one other thing, the PCN was received 23 days after the incident, does this matter? Cheers0
-
Not really as POFA doesn't apply
But it's proof that the keeper has no liability even if it did apply , hence why POFA is mentioned in your popla appeal , so leave all the nitty gritty for the popla appeal0 -
I had a ticket from Birmingham Airport. my appeal was very short...
Not the driver, I didn't do it.. something along those lines and I never received anything after that.
My vehicle seen in the photo dropping people off at the Hotel drop off point. Sign clearly says dropping off zone so why the ticket?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
