Well you’ve got something to look forward to tomorrow I bet you can’t wait 🤣 Seriously though it will be a job well done in the end.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

Thanks SA. Still recovering after a weekend of admin and sewing in the ends on a crochet blanket 🥳. Actually it was a nice weekend. A couple of good walks and a couple of get fit with Rick sessions (as recommended by SA). A takeaway curry and a couple of glasses of wine.I finished my audio book too. The Secrets of Strangers. I really enjoyed it and was sorry when it ended.Trying to follow foxgloves' example and have a productive week.I really need to do a freezer inventory as it's so full and I'm sure there are lots of meals to be concocted from within its depths. I was trying to find a pack of prawns tonight and of course they were in the last shelf I looked in. I waded through cornwttos that had spread themselves into every drawer, lots of packs of mince, some forgotten sausage meat (from Christmas I think), lots of frozen fruit etc etc. I'm going to have a veggie chilli which I found for tea tomorrow - will make nachos with it as I also found frozen avocado to turn into guacamole. That will create a tiny space but at least it's a space. Will put a frozen home made ready meal on the food plan for the next few weeks.4

I agree SH and also using the meat that's in the freezer as the basis for some meals will keep me out of the supermarket. It's a low spend month again this month and I heard last week that I'll be getting a bonus in march's pay. We never get a bonus and it is instead of a pay rise but I'm happy to get anything. I'm going to put it straight into retirement savings ... previously it would all have been frittered away on stuff I wanted and thought I needed. I've bought some craft bits for the grandchildren for Easter from this months budget but they were relatively inexpensive and I used a £5 voucher towards it. I'll buy them some Easter eggs too.I've had a nice day today and I've got Monday off which is such a good feeling.I tried a new recipe tonight - an African inspired chicken and rice dish and it was very nice.
settled down now with all the fairy lights twinkling, a new candle lit and listening to music for a while. Blissful.

Sounds lovely, Blackcats. I've just lit my candles too including the last of a nice scented one I received at Christmas. Must try to shop next scented candle from home.... I haven't looked in my candle drawer for ages, but I am hoping there will be something suitably fragrant in there so that I don't spend any money.
Good news about your bonus!

Thank you Foxgloves and SH.
I had my vaccine this afternoon - very well organised and I do feel a small sense of relief not just for me but because the roll out is progressing so well.
my council tax bill arrived yesterday 😱. It's a significant amount of money. I'm going to overpay by around 10% a month to get it finished sooner than the 10 month payment schedule. 10% is £35 ..... if anyone wants to do the sums! If I could get it paid off in December I'd be really happy.A day's holiday tomorrow - I'm loving these 4 day weeks. I'd love to change my work pattern to a 9 day fortnight and I think I will be bold and ask my boss. I know they wouldn't agree to 4 days a week but a 9 day fortnight might be ok. I'm a grown woman, I should be able to request a flexible working pattern 🤷♀️. I'm going to do it! I've put I in writing now so that will incentivise me! Just need to chose my moment.3 -
We do flexible working where I work and they allow a 9 day fortnight. You can also do compressed hours, so you do your hours over 4 days then get a day off. Good luck with it 🤞I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1
