It is my personal belief that all days that are so stormy that you have to hunker down are Sundays in spirit, and therefore the appropriate comforts must be enjoyedhttps://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6466032/an-in-between-phase

Thank you PIP; @savingholmes and @Sarahwithlove. I await with eager anticipation the unwrapping of my Secret Santa gift but at least I'll be wearing my Tiffany jewellery to keep my spirits up in case of disappointment.
Storm Bert has been rampaging here. Our neighbour's gazebo put up a valiant fight but eventually succumbed and flew off across the gardens after a massive gust.
hope everyone is safe and have no damage to property and gardens.
I am going to follow the advice of the very wise @foxgloves and try to keep my purse as closed as possible for the remainder of November. There is surplus in most of my monthly spending pots which I would like to scoop up and put in the replacement tech pot. There is also money left in the current account buffer so I'd like to keep as much of that intact as I can. Any £'s from there will go into the holiday pot.3 -
May be create a vision board with pictures so he can see what you want - otherwise you may end up with the strangest thing in the shop.2

@weenancyinAmerica - that's a good idea.
Started the week with Motown dancercise which is always fun and uplifting. Back home for a bacon roll and big mug of tea. Purse has stayed shut - hooray!

I love the creativity of your shopping from home for your advent gifts - and how you make meals more special.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks @savingholmes - I am trying not to buy more "stuff" and to enjoy the "stuff" I've already bought.
spent some money today but it was on Christmas presents so from a separated fully funded pot. Well I hope it's fully funded but jeepers this is an expensive time of year! 5 December birthdays plus a New Year's Day birthday and 13 grandchildren 🙀
We had a long walk in the glorious sunshine today. This country is amazing grey, rain and howling winds on Sunday followed by 2 bright and sunny days. I tweaked my back when I perched in the car to take my walking shoes off. I should have taken my time and not contorted myself half in and half out of the car. I've got my feet up with a hot water water bottle and a big mug of bedtime brew.
just finished watching GBBO. I've enjoyed this series and will miss my cosy Tuesday night viewing.2 -
Tackled an admin task I've been putting off for a while today and have produced a first draft of a document. I used this tactic at work and used to get something down on paper even if it was just headings. Then the next time I looked at the document I was often surprised at how much I'd done and that it actually read quite well. Hope that will be the case with this document tomorrow.Just made Katsu Chicken for tea which was yummy. Now eating a slice of homemade chocolate and potato cake. It's a WI recipe and is actually much nicer than it sounds.2

Oh well done, nothing quite like getting A Task in progress, especially when it turns out to be much simpler than you've built it up to be in your own head!
