Grey and rainy all day today. The weather forecast promised no rain until 12 but at 11, just as we were getting ready to go out for a walk the heavens opened and it's rained more or less ever since.
small money saving win today - our friend who visited today is able to deliver a birthday card for us, so the price of the stamp is saved.
Money making wins - the item I listed on vinted has sold for a fiver and is on its way to its new owner. I've done my mid month cash out from prolific so £36.85 is on its way to savings in the next couple of days.

That is a thoroughly mse day.
Someone on Vinted put an offer in on one of my items two days ago and I accepted and they still haven't funded the account so I can't send it. Maybe I've been lucky so far in not experiencing that but it's an annoying thing to have in the back of your mind to do when you can't do it!2 -
what a lovely jumper BC! Also credit to your Dad's GP for excellent service - that's so good to hear and that your Dad is on the mend.

Thank you @savingholmes and @EssexHebridean - the yarn for the jumper made the patterns, not me. The hardest part was trusting that it would more or less match up.Yes, I was pleased with the prolific payout - I feel I still need to "earn" some money each month. I was very surprised that a survey I did for £15 was approved. I was sure I hadn't done it right and have been expecting a response rejected email. However it's been approved so I'm off to a good start for my mid January payout. We went for a swim this afternoon and the leisure centre cat was asleep on a car bonnet when we arrived. I assume the engine was still warm. The cat leapt down and hurtled over to us which made me mistakenly think that he/she was pleased to see us. Actually they just needed us to open the automatic doors. Once open the cat trotted in, under the turnstiles and through to the communal area where they jumped onto a sofa and curled up for a sleep. The cat is fussed over by so many people and is so friendly - a very smart cat indeed.
shopped from home today for some headphones. Mine are barely working and I was about to order from the big river co when I remembered the pair in my work laptop bag that I used when I worked in the office. Very happy with that!
other miney saving hopefully generated (excuse the pun) during the octopus power saving hour. We made a big cup of tea, grabbed a couple of biscuits and listened to some more Strike with fairy lights and candles twinkling. The hour went by very quickly.2 -
Love the cat using you to open its access to a sofa!

Aw I love leisure centre cat
Great survey work, I continue to be very envious of you all on PA
Well done on shopping from home too, that was a good leaving gift to yourself in the work bag!1 -
I've never seen a Prolific survey for £15! How long was that?
I've just tried to sign DH up to it was there's a waiting list again so we'll have to see how long it is before he gets accepted! The only reason for doing so was because I got a question today asking if my partner was signed up and happy to take part in couples surveys.
Do you just cash out mid month @Blackcats or at month end as well? I just cashout at end month. I've only been doing it for 5 or 6 months and quite happy to be "earning" a bit again having retired in 2010!2 -
I did a survey a few years ago for Smooth Radio that paid £50. I had to listen to songs and rate them.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1
