I'm not sure if it starts from the date of the offence or the date they contacted you.Fruitcake said:sunrisesunset, when exactly is the six years up (five years in Scotland)?0 -

Hi Coupon Mad,some great threads and advice I’ve been Skimming over as need to sort my defence out via the template, just a quick one I’ve randomly had my CC letter 31st dating back to an offence on 19/08/2015!! So obviously incredibly difficult to find exact details, how long before they expire? Also states on the claim section 4.driver agreed to pay within 28days but did not! This is complete lies
any help appreciated before I start my claim
Thankyou0 -
any help appreciated before I start my claimI'd start your own thread first.Nothing will be given on a thread belonging to another poster. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Did you also somehow “skim over” your clear agreement to not hijack threads..?anthonytansley2002 said:Hi Coupon Mad,some great threads and advice I’ve been Skimming over as need to sort my defence out via the template, just a quick one I’ve randomly had my CC letter 31st dating back to an offence on 19/08/2015!! @anthonytansley2002, your questions have been asked, and answered, time and time again on here. Only two days ago I wrote this:They will claim that the driver read the signs and agreed to the contract. So their argument is that by parking, the driver did agree to pay within 28 days.
Part of that contract, i.e. the sign, will say something like "...agrees to pay the amount of £xx within 28 days of...".
If you have any further questions about progressing your issue then please start your own thread. If you have received a County Court Claim Form then please tell us the Issue Date on that form when starting your new thread.3 -
Will start my own thread guys sorry to offend there’s horrific amount of detail and wasn’t entirely sure weather it was still live but now it is I will post my own thread with the letter,Apologise again0

Morning all! Newbie here
So this morning 27/01/21 I received a letter from DCBL regarding an unpaid parking charge. The notice dates back to 17/03/2016 just shy of 5 years. I worked at the NHS hospital and parking was tight so I double parked in front of colleagues cars I knew would be finished same time as me that day. I have been charged with obstruction but was in an unmarked car park on site staff only and others had done the same. Ive ignored all the UKPC letters and now I have this. Also its an old vehicle I no longer own and I have moved address since but they seem to have access to this information. they are giving me 14 days from the date of letter or legal action - the letter is 6 days old. ANY help or advice would be much appreciated.

I had the exact same letter yesterday! The parking charge is for 10.03.2016, and previously I had ignored the UKPC as they never proved with photos that I parked there, after I send them a letter back in 2016. (Never heard from them again) I have read the above, and asked for advice and they have all said to ignore. I think they must be strapped for money, and think its okay to send threatening and bulling letters to scare people into paying.
