DCBL - parking charge recovery 5 yrs old

It changed in 2012 with POFA and again around 2015 with the very well publicised Barry Beavis case , plus when parliament debated it over the new Parking Bill a couple of years ago , several times , before it became law early this year , all of which were newsworthy , the latter by MP Sir Greg Knight
So your comments really relate to something said in pubs over 7 years ago , plus by Martin Lewis around 7 years ago too
Never ignore a parking charge notice
The word ignore applies to debt collectors and their worthless letters0 -
I really think we should avoid using the word "ignore" no matter what the circumstances.2
-
But we have to use the word 'ignore', when we talk about tedious debt collector letters.
I reckon we can expect more of the exact same threads over the coming days with even more people panicking about a DCBLegal letter instead of just reading the existing threads.
Please oh please, no more! This is JUST a CP Plus PCN and they can't hold keepers liable.
As is often the case. But CP Plus don't know who was driving and sent a postal PCN to the keeper. The keeper could have killed it with one appeal email; it was just about the easiest one to get cancelled.Coupon mad ... in my scenario I was actually the one driving 3 years ago and the one who parked there.
You should all try to template appeal from the NEWBIES thread that you should have sent, NOW, and change the bit about PDT machines to instead say that you are aware that the PCN was non-POFA, and as such, the registered keeper ignored the pCN because there was never any possibility of liability.
No-one should read the MSE article or try the useless appeal suggested on the main site.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I reckon if we all chip in for a good thesaurus we could work something out. Or perhaps a trip to a library to save buying one?0 -
just opened a letter from DCBL cert bailiffs chasing a 150 parking charge from 2017 advising me to pay in 14 days and if i dont they will recommend legal action to client. What should i do please?0

Any reason youve hijacked someone elses post?
Have you read the newbies thread?
Theyre not acting as bailiffs. I bet theyre not. Read the WHOLE letter.1 -
Hi, I know you're worried. I was too. I followed the advice in this thread. Basically it's too late to deal with the matter properly. Just ignore the letter and don't make the same mistake next time. Our mistake was ignoring that first letter 6 years ago.mazahelp said:just opened a letter from DCBL cert bailiffs chasing a 150 parking charge from 2017 advising me to pay in 14 days and if i dont they will recommend legal action to client. Honestly, I can't remember if they wrote us a second time after this thread. If they did, we ignored the letter again and didn't respond. Haven't heard from them since. I completely forgot about the letter until today.
Try not to panic. Good luck!1 -
Many cases do end up with a court claim from DCBLegal so don't ignore that!
But you all (hopefully) know what to do because we have to hope all new posters have read the NEWBIES thread.
Post #4 of it deals with ignoring debt letters, but post #2 of it tells everyone how to win in court and rid yourselves of the scam, using our template defence (and your own evidenceand witness statement). This is easy enough to handle but everyone must read the NEWBIES thread first.
I will never link the NEWBIES thread, given my signature already tells you where to click at the top of any page!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
