I'm not sure im understanding what you wrote? The dropped curb doesn't require planning as its not on a main road but it does need an approved contractor. My council has 6 approved contractors and only two replied - similar price. Salford council. gov.uk/parking-roads-and-travel/footpaths-and-pavements/dropped-kerbs-car-access-to-properties/[/url]

Even if Planning permission is not needed, you need an 'opening permit' following inspection.0 -
The parking at the rear doesn't have a dropped kerb is that right?
There is a lampost on the pavement at the rear of the house that is in the way of putting in a dropped kerb?
There are already double gates on the back drive suggesting that the previous owners did use it as off street parking?
You are not asking about getting a dropped kerb at the front of the property because the front garden is not big enough to park a car on?0 -
The parking would be at the back of the house, there is no dropped curb and there is a public pavement. The front has a wall so it couldn’t never be argued there is front of house off house parking. The front of the house is also too small for a car.0

Have to use a contractor for the council because there could be utility services etc . Contractor also gets the worker signed of.0

The area is also too small to make a dropped curbed due to the light smack bang in the middle of the garden. Oh no
there needs to be 270cm and there is 260. Ah.

Estate agent has sent me a cheque for 1/4 of the price.0

Cashing it means you accept the compensation. End of.
If you want more or anything different, don't cash it but write back with whatever you wish to claim.0 -
