Hi folks, Our flight was cancelled from Burgas in Bulgaria to Luton due to fog.
By the time we got through to the booking peeps on the phone to rescedule the only option was 1 week later from Burgas or a flight from Skopje in Massadonia 24 hours later.
Having no spare medication or clothes we opted for Massadonia. I asked on the phone if all my costs would be covered and was told to keep all the receipts and to claim on my return home.
We set of on Buses, trains, coaches and taxis to make the new flight. Travelled for nearly 20 hours but all receipts kept.
Wiz Air took over the allocated time to reply so I did use Bott and Co to see if I was due combo for the cancelation and they said I was. I didn't pursue the claim with Bott & Co as Wizz Air eventually replied to my first email.
Put my receipts in which Wizz Air claimed to be unable to read and have been asked to submit them again with a definite decline for my overstay car parking bill!.
So it seems Wizz Air are possibly going to wriggle out of paying.
Does Car Parking excess charges come under a legitimate claim and should I just let Bott & Co take them on. I don't mind paying commission as it seems I may get nothing trying to do it myself.
Thanks Zoe

usually the expenses covered are those during the delay so your travel to the alternate airport would be a given
Consequential expenses because of the delay....missed bus/train back at home, dog additional day in kennels, car park overstay etc would not be an airline claim but would be a claim from your travel insurance
I am surprised Botts think compensation would apply if the cancellation was due to weather0 -
Thanks caz3121 I also am surprised when Bott & Co came back saying yes we can claim. I will forward my receipts again and hope wiz air sort it. Thanks again for your reply0

There is a big difference between being able to make a claim - anybody can make a claim, and being able to make a claim with a successful outcome.0 -
Bott tend to be optimistic in the response from their online checker. If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

I got the same message from Bott & co for a delayed flight due to a bird strike, then as expected they told me it was not worth continuing with the claim as it would fail.0
