HP Laptop Reformat

Because I have been told on here I have problems with my laptop I decided to reformat it back to factory settings using HP recovery.

It has all finished and I now have no operating system, my PC app, C & D drives.

I suspect when someone on here said to reset it and it did'nt work it wiped to information on the recovery drive.

Can someone please tell me how I can recover all this?

How do you know that you have no operating system? What happens when you switch on the laptop?

If you seriously had "no operating system" you wouldn't have even known you had a Drive C and a Drive D because it wouldn't have got that far.

If the previous "reset" had scrubbed the recovery drive the option for HP Recovery wouldn't have worked although you say it did.

Sounds like it has been reset and I think what you actually mean is "I don't have any of the software I had on it before". So no Word, no Firefox, no Chrome, etc.

From the backup you did perhaps?

From the windows backup image you created before you used HP recovery. ( link ) and to force WRE to run when you boot if you can't access it already. (link)
