At the time I first wrote this I did not have C & D Drive

But that's not what you said in the original post.
You said "I decided to reformat it [your laptop] back to factory settings using HP recovery. It has all finished and I now have no operating system, my PC app, C & D drives."

You can't have "no operating system" and a C and a D drive, the two cancel each other out. If you have "no operating system" you don't have a C drive (for Windows anyway) and if you do have a C and a D drive, then you do have an operating system. You can't have both scenarios from a Windows point of view!

If this was Linux or another operating system then yes okay they don't use the concept of "Drive C" like Windows does and it might have made more sense. But That doesn't apply here.

I think I see what the problem is here. It seems to be that you're not describing your issues properly or accurately enough. For all I know you could be making this stuff up as you go along.

I'm amazed. Best part of a week the OP has been faffing around in the other thread, been doing this computer repair stuff for hours and hours, days weeks and years they say, and I have seen nothing to suggest any competence in this area at all. I'm sorry but that's what I can see and I have to base that assessment on the forum posts. I'm sure he's a nice guy offline and probably does know more than he's letting on but...

You shouldn't have to do the recovery multiple times. It should just work once and that's it. If you do have to repeat it before it "sticks" then that's a crystal clear indication that there are more serious issues at play here.

OP, ill give you the benefit of the doubt one more time, but then that's it ..

Please tell us, exactly where you are at now .. What happens when you turn on your computer.
Please describe every step right up until the problem you are having appears

If you don't do this then it is not possible to help you.
And if you don't do this then im wasting no more time on you
