click sound from Vaillant boiler

firstly this isn't my video, however i am having exact same problem with my Vaillant ecoTEC Plus 938
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gSC9zwXAyLI
(video description has time when click sound is produced from boiler)

i contacted Valillant and their engineer is due to visit next week.

however their terms and conditions say that only fault in boiler is covered (not even flue which is also from Vaillant). also installation faults, issue with pipe work etc will not be covered. if issue is found elsewhere than boiler then i have to pay 100 plus vat otherwise they will void warranty.
boiler is less than a year old and warranty is for 10 years.

anyway i just want to check if anyone else here faced similar problem and where the issue might be?

thanks.

Did you not contact the engineer who installed it?

Sounds like a diverter valve clicking. Possibly an issue with the motor or gears on the valve. Are there any issues with the system or just the noise?

    Whenever heating is on.
  • What a useless video, half of it I'm just looking at the boiler & the other half I'm looking at the boiler with the flap down, I can't see what the boiler is doing or the display, complete waste of time
I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.

You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.

Mine makes the odd noise similar but not as loud, as all boilers do.

it's the recording of sound at given times. that was the purpose of video. prepared by some user, not by installer or expert.
