No CCJ, bad my credit is bad. I didn’t think that would effect it as I was paying it all upfront.
Most insurers will do a 'light touch' credit check - nothing that will impact your credit rating but they do use it as a rating factor so that *could* explain the increase.
Unfortunately (as with most pool-based rating) it can mean that you inadvertently find yourself in the 'higher risk' category due to a poor credit history. There can be a direct correlation between the number of fraudulent claims (especially around theft or injury) and perceived financial stability. It's incredibly unfair on people that have had genuine issues and wouldn't dream of acting fraudulently, but we are not rated as individuals...All matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves.0
