Credit card still shows as active in bankruptcy

Options
Hi, guys, I hope this is the right place...
I went bankrupt in March last year, Inc in the BR order was a credit card from Halifax as well as 2 other accounts, loan and current account. The 2 last accounts were closed and put into default but the credit card still appears open and active as I keep getting statements and I checked on my clear score today and this account is saying I've missed payments since I went BR. I have spoken to Halifax months ago about it and they said it was not active and left it at that but it seems active to me as my statements say I've only used £200 of my £500 limit. What do I do now?
Many thanks, Gaz

  • Contact Halifax and ask them to update it accordingly.

Failing that go to the FOS
  • Write to Halifax and say that a creditor must not contact a debtor once a bankruptcy order has been made, and accordingly you trust they will not be corresponding further.

    Hi,

The procedure for credit file clean up after bankrupcy can be found here :

    https://debtcamel.co.uk/credit-file-after-bankruptcy/

Bankrupcy encompasses all your debts at the time its granted, follow the link and it tells you who to complain to and when, and where, to escalate your complaint if they won`t comply.
