Look on the bright side - if you buy a replacement yourself, you'll get a new one with whatever warranty these things tend to come with and the usual consumer rights. Their old one could have broken tomorrow, for all you know, and then you'd have had to buy a new one as well as dispose of the old one.0

My son moved into a flat recently and being a nice mum I did an Iceland shop online, due to deliver next day. Turned the freezer on moving in day. Checked the next day and it was lovely and warm . Built in freezer so measured up and just went and brought a new one. Iceland shopping duly delivered about 5 hours later. Went to make a Sunday roast the next day, turns oven on, all is well, then 5 mins later. Bang goes the electrics. Off to curry’s for an oven and installation but had to wait 3 days for it. It was annoying as it was his first flat but he had a rainy day fund, wanted to replace the oven at some point, but just happened quicker than expected. Didn’t contact the solicitor as these things happen and he loved the flat 0

No - I said the curtain poles weren't an issue. It is the several hundred pound wine fridge that was taken that we'd like back. Failing that we will need to pay a carpenter several hundred pounds to remedy the gaping hole that has been left in the integrated kitchen.
Use the several £100s that a carpenter would cost to buy a wine cooler.
Then you'll have the wine cooler you really want0 -
I'm really not convinced that certain people are cut out for home ownership.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

If they are splitting up they will have no interest - they have bigger stuff going on than a fridge.0
