BBC iplayer pre-installed

I've recently decided that I no longer want to help fund the BBC.
I never watch Live TV and only watch content from Netflix and Amazon.
I followed the various suggestions from the Guardian website about removing iplayer. Then I hit a snag.
My Samsung TV comes with iplayer pre-installed so it can't be removed.
Essentially that means I'm paying £140 per year for my TV, despite no longer watching live TV on it?
Apart from buying a new TV, is there any work around?
Surely if the BBC insist on having an app which combines Live streaming with catch up, then iplayer should either be exempt from needing a license or live tv should be provided by a seperate app?

The workaround is to not use iPlayer and therefore not pay the licence fee.0

Did you know you don't have to disconnect the aerial to go LLF you can listen to the radio through the TV. Personally I haven't tuned my TV in as I only use it for Prime and DVD's. Most of the content that I will watch produced by the BBC won't be on 5H1TBOX so I buy the boxsets.Someone please tell me what money is0

Just dont use the App. You only need the licence to use Iplayer (and live of course) not have to simply have it.
I am sure when you tell people you dont require a TV license, they will start to imply oh you need one for simply having a TV. Rubbish!
