    Just on the off chance, have you checked the Safegas website for his registration and photo? Just in case he isn't the person actually registered. It doesn't sound quite right to me.

    A couple of answers,
    He has to register the boiler with Gas Safe which will automatically get you a Building Compliance Certificate
    He doesn't have to register the boiler with the manufacturer that is down to you, although most installers will do this for you as they may get you extra years of warentee & a lot will automatically inform Gas Safe saving the registration costs
    I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
