Hike in BA flight price in a couple of hours

I was trying to book a return economy flight from Gatwick to Orlando today. Price seemed not too bad (£550 ish).
I needed to confirm dates then went back to book-£900+
That can't be right I thought so tried again shortly after-£1900!!
Can anyone explain what's going on?

I cleared the cache and prices went back to the original ones yesterday.
Two flights booked.
