Looks like the branches hook into something on the trunk [that's if there's a bend on the end of the branch] Find the bit on the trunk that they hook into.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0

Do the branches unhook from the trunk? Any chance you've put them in upside down?0

The main branch should come out to about 90 degrees from the trunk. If they are coming lower than that either they have been bent down or the main hinges have been damaged.
You then have to arrange all the minor branches to where you want them. If you are trying to get the main branch to stay higher you will have to tie them some how.0 -
This looks like a tree we used to have - are you putting the branches in the holes correctly/in the correct place?
I remember it was easy to get them wrong on our tree but when you got it right it seemed obvious.0 -
Looks like you have hooked them upside down. Try with the long bit at the bottom.0

I haven’t put the branches in the holes - it came like this. To change the branches I would have to have some good pliers and a lot more strength.
The hooks just hook through the metal trunk nothing holds them there.0 -
On mine the branches drop down onto a stop / bracket. It seems very odd that they have suddenly started to drop further than they should. Can you get a close up shot of where the branch meets the trunk?
Edit: - Sorry just looked at the first photo and the branches have been bent down far further than they should be. It looks like somebody couldn't work out how to get it back in the box and bent all the branches the wrong way!0 -
Here are some close ups where the branches are normal and not collapsing:

And here are the collapsing ones:

your droopy branches have been forcibly bent downwards, look at the shape of the ends of the wire compared to the good ones. The only fix is to forcibly bend them back and hope you dont break the ring they loop through.0
